Goofy dressed in a stunt performer costume standing beside a motorcycle that’s crashed through a show displayThe Barnstormer

Take flight above Storybook Circus for a thrilling, junior roller coaster ride.

An Acrobatic Skyleidoscope
Climb aboard a wacky stunt plane and become a part of The Great Goofini’s daredevil act.

Step underneath a grand circus marquee and make your way to an open-air barn where Goofy—known as The Great Goofini—has been known to perform his famous death-defying, high-flying show. Once inside the red hanger, board one of Goofy’s very own stunt biplanes and hold on tight as you prepare to take to the skies above New Fantasyland.

A Staggering Series of Stupendous Stunts
The flying spectacle begins as your plane gracefully ascends to the top of a nearby wooden observation tower. Then, brace yourself as you rapidly swoop down and around the bustling barnyard, following the flight path made famous by The Grand Goofini. Dart around gentle bends, peel past trees and soar through the broken section of a nearby billboard before “landing” safely back inside the barn during the grand, fun-filled finale.

The Great Goofini and Storybook Circus
Storybook Circus stars classic characters of Disney animation, like Goofy. Back when the circus arrived in town and pitched a tent in what is now known as New Fantasyland, Goofy spotted an abandoned barn and decided it would be the perfect staging area for an amazing new daredevil flying act.
Today, you’re invited to board one of Goofy’s homemade stunt planes and take part in his astounding aerial stunt show: The Barnstormer featuring Goofy as The Great Goofini.

More to See and Do
In addition to The Barnstormer, Storybook Circus is home to Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Fantasyland Train Station.

Locomotive at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at sunsetBig Thunder Mountain Railroad®

Streak through a haunted gold-mining town aboard a rollicking runaway mine train.

The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness
Dash in and out of desert caverns and rumble through a haunted mine aboard a speeding train.
Amid rugged bedrock and desert cactus, venture inside a nearly 200-foot mountain to the Big Thunder Mining Company, established in the early days of America’s Gold Rush. Traipse down into an abandoned mine shaft and discover a mysterious 5-car locomotive waiting to take you on a journey inside an abandoned shaft.
Hang Onto Your Hats!
Hurl forward into the darkness of the tunnel as the train’s wheels chug back and forth across a rickety track. Swoop around sharp turns and dip and drop into canyons and caves, darting through the ghost town of Tumbleweed.
Peel under a booming waterfall, past rock formations, and dodge a rumbling boulder from an inexplicable landslide. Along your adventure, glimpse the remnants of a flash flood and behold a bevy of local critters—including bats, opossum and a goat—before hastily making your way back to the safety of the railroad station.

The Big Thunder Mountain Legend
Legend has it that a supernatural force dwells within the mountain. When gold was first discovered in the 1850s, a mining company was established. But soon, eerie things began to occur. Miners heard ghostly sounds, cave-ins became frequent and equipment mysteriously failed. Trains would take off and race through the mine and around the mountain driverless! Word got out that the mine was haunted and Big Thunder became another ghost town.
Years later, when eyewitness accounts had faded into folklore, new prospectors resurrected the Mining Company and began blasting into the spooky mountain once again. But as the new settlers became aware, some legends turn out to be true.

A Train Ride for the Entire Family
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a speedy rollercoaster-type attraction designed with your entire family in mind. However, some parts of this attraction are bumpy and, in some instances, take place in the dark.

Junior Space Rangers having fun on the Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger SpinBuzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin®

Fire lasers to defeat Zurg in this shooting-gallery game that puts you in the center of a thrilling space battle.
Evil Emperor Zurg is stealing batteries from helpless toys to power a new weapon of destruction. As a Junior Space Ranger, it’s up to you to maneuver an XP-37 star cruiser through the neon-lit Gamma Quadrant and fire lasers from an onboard cannon to stop him and score points.

Based on the Hit Movies
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin continues the epic battle between Buzz Lightyear and Evil Emperor Zurg, as seen in the popular Disney•Pixar Toy Story film series.

Spin Around and Fire!
Take aim with your space cannon and fire an invisible infrared laser at a constellation of “Z” insignias. Following an introductory mission briefing with Buzz Lightyear, board an XP-37 star cruiser, take hold of the onboard cannon and begin your space crusade into the Gamma Quadrant.
Amid illuminated otherworldly realms, accompany Buzz Lightyear into battle and come face-to-face with Zurg and his rampaging squadron of revolting robots. Quickly identify your interplanetary “Z” targets by using an onboard joystick to spin your cruiser a full 360 degrees, and blast the targets to collect points by firing lasers from your cannon.
Do you have what it takes to stop Zurg and his army before it’s too late? The fate of the universe is in your hands.

Score Points
With each “Z” insignia you hit, you’re rewarded with beeping sounds, flashing lights and points. The more targets you blast, the more points you’ll receive. As expected, harder-to-hit targets are worth more points.
During the space battle, points are automatically tallied and can easily be seen on the electronic dashboard in your space cruiser. Compete with friends for the highest score or try to achieve a new personal best!

Star Command Rank
At the end of your mission, you’ll receive a Star Command ranking, based on the points you accumulated during the mission. The lowest rank is the humble “Space Cadet,” but advanced players can challenge themselves to reach the highest classification, “Galactic Hero.”

A Classic Design
Boasting soaring spires, ornate turrets and regal royal-blue rooftops, the 189-foot castle invokes both the magic and mystery of real-world castles—such as Fontainebleau and Versailles—and fictional palaces like the one seen in Disney’s animated classic Cinderella.
Adding to the enchanted environment, the castle is surrounded by a tranquil moat, lush green grass, rose bushes and a wishing well, providing perfect picture-taking opportunities from nearly every angle.

Nighttime Enchantment
Cinderella Castle provides a spectacular backdrop for the fireworks extravaganzas that occur in Magic Kingdom park on select nights. Over 16 million colored lights illuminate the castle when the sun sets; and during fireworks shows, lights and music effortlessly come together to create an even more magical setting.

The Presidents Will See You Now
Stroll into the 700-seat main theater, home to 3 massive projection screens and a grand proscenium. As the lights dim, sit back and enjoy an original film—developed by a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian—relaying the dramatic story of the United States of America.
During the presentation, revel in America’s enduring origins, the formation of our Constitution and the hard-fought struggles along the way—such as the American Revolution and the Civil War. Listen to the stirring words of John F. Kennedy echo throughout the theater and watch Abraham Lincoln—in attendance on stage—deliver his Gettysburg address.
Then, witness a very special display as the curtain rises to reveal each and every United States President, together for the very first time—followed by stirring speeches about the American Dream delivered by Presidents George Washington and Barack Obama.

The Birth of a Legend
Envisioned by Walt Disney, The Hall of Presidents proved too ambitious for the technology of the time.
Conceived as animated wax figures, the Presidents didn’t quite look and act as Walt Disney had originally envisioned. So Walt decided to work with his Imagineers to develop the first Audio-Animatronics figure in human form. The result was the startling realistic, classic attraction Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, which debuted to rave reviews at the 1964 New York World’s Fair.
In 1971, with the technology tested and perfected, Abraham Lincoln—in addition to every other President at the time—appeared onstage in The Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom park. Since then, every U.S. President, including the addition of Barack Obama, has been added to the roll call.

The Classic Song
Written and composed by an Academy Award®-winning team of brothers, the song “it’s a small world” is a timeless classic.
As you sail the Seven Seaways, “it’s a small world” is lovingly sung by the children of the world in their native languages—including French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and English. Despite the change in language, the Sherman Brothers came to the conclusion that a single musical theme was the way to bring the song together, thus reinforcing the attraction’s larger message of cultural unity and harmony.
The Story Behind the Song
Originally, Walt Disney envisioned the world’s children singing the national anthem from each country they represented. But he quickly discovered that everyone singing a different tune resulted in a musical cacophony. Walt approached Richard and Robert Sherman, who were hard at work on Mary Poppins, to create a singular song that could be sung by all of the children. The result was “it’s a small world”—one of the most well-known songs of all time.

Designing the Small World
Walt Disney selected Mary Blair as an art director and Alice Davis as costumer to bring “it’s a small world” to life.
Art Direction
With her distinctive use of color, geometric shapes and a simple, child-like art style, Mary Blair was known for her visual aesthetic—felt in every aspect, in every nation, of “it’s a small world.” As you glide through the many scenes, colored paper in bold hues vividly create collages of some of the world’s most beloved countries, giving you the impression of sailing through a classic children’s book.
Authentic Attire
Under the direction of designer Alice Davis (and her husband Marc Davis), Disney seamstresses gathered and sewed every inch of clothing to create a faithful portrayal of each nation’s traditional attire. That’s over 300 outfits in all! Authentic materials were used for each region, from silks for the saris of India and fine wool for the Scottish bagpiper.

History, After All
“it’s a small world” was created for the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair. Personally overseen by Walt Disney in support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the attraction was a huge hit for 2 seasons at the fair and was eventually shipped back to Disneyland park, where it reopened on May 28, 1966.
In 1971, “it’s a small world” was recreated to become one of the Opening Day attractions at Walt Disney World Resort. Due to its immense popularity, the attraction has been replicated in every Disney Resort around the world and is considered a Walt Disney classic.
