Kennedy Space Center is situated east of Orlando’s most popular theme parks and attractions is NASA’s launch headquarters, a must-see for space enthusiasts. This is the only place on Earth where you can see giant rockets, meet an astronaut and see launch areas.
ON 29th June 2013 KENNEDY SPACE CENTER VISITOR COMPLEX LAUNCHES THEIR LATEST ATLANTIS EXHIBITION! Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex was selected by NASA to permanently display the space shuttle orbiter. The new 90,000 square-foot orbiter exhibit showcases the orbiter as it appears “in flight.” The exhibit will provide guests a unique vantage point to view Atlantis up close, while telling the story of the 30-year Space Shuttle Program through a number of hands on, interactive and immersive mediums.
Atlantis has orbited the Earth more than 4,600 times, traveling over 120 million miles in space and has launched 33 missions from Kennedy Space Center, along Florida’s Space Coast. The Atlantis will be on permanent display.
Don’t miss the incredible shuttle launch journey where you can experience the sights, sounds and sensations of a real space shuttle launch, Veteran Space Shuttle commander Charlie Bolden takes you step-by-step through the launch sequence. Enjoya talk from an experience astronaut, a range opportunity to ask about space travel and don’t forget to bring your camera to capture a few souvenir shots. In the play dome designed to look like a spacecraft children can climb a moon rock wall and crawl through rocket tunnels.
If you want want to feel as if you are in space you have to see the astounding images of ancient stars, nebulas and galaxies transmitted from the famous Hubble Telescope; you’ll be witnessing know to man.
